2009 Lincoln MKZ

The 2009 Lincoln MKZ gains an antiskid system as a newly-standard safety feature. This premium midsize sedan has a 263-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission.

Previously unavailable, the 2009 Lincoln MKZ has a standard antiskid system. Other available safety features include ABS, traction control, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Rear obstacle detection and heated and cooled front seats are standard.

Also standard is Ford’s Sync, which offers voice control for cell phones and MP3 players. A navigation system, sunroof, remote engine start, and xenon headlights are among the options offered.

2010 Lincoln MKZ

The 2010 Lincoln MKZ gets freshened exterior and interior styling and some new features. This premium-midsize sedan has a 263-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags.

A new Sport Appearance Package includes a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and specific interior and exterior trim. Ford’s Sync voice-activated control for cell phones and MP3 players is standard. Newly offered on the 2010 Lincoln MKZ is blind-spot alert.

The system also incorporates Ford’s “Cross Traffic Alert”, which activates when the transmission is in reverse; it detects any traffic moving toward the vehicle. A rearview camera is optional, as is a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic alerts and a hard drive for storing digital music files.
