2010 Lincoln MKZ
The 2010 Lincoln MKZ gets freshened exterior and interior styling and some new features. This premium-midsize sedan has a 263-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags.
A new Sport Appearance Package includes a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and specific interior and exterior trim. Ford’s Sync voice-activated control for cell phones and MP3 players is standard. Newly offered on the 2010 Lincoln MKZ is blind-spot alert.
The system also incorporates Ford’s “Cross Traffic Alert”, which activates when the transmission is in reverse; it detects any traffic moving toward the vehicle. A rearview camera is optional, as is a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic alerts and a hard drive for storing digital music files.
2010 Lincoln MKX
The 2010 Lincoln MKX is largely unchanged. This crossover SUV seats 5 and shares its basic design with the Ford Edge. MKX offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The sole powertrain is a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that teams with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds.
Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Heated and cooled front seats and leather upholstery are standard. Also standard is Ford’s Sync voice-activated control interface for cell phones and digital-music players.
A navigation system with real-time traffic information is optional, as are dual-screen DVD entertainment and a panoramic sunroof. Newly available for 2010 is the Midnight Limited Edition Package which includes specific trim and 22-inch wheels.
2010 Lincoln MKS
The 2010 Lincoln MKS receives a new engine option following its introduction for the 2009 model year. This premium-large car is available with front- or all-wheel drive and shares some of its basic design with the Ford Taurus. Standard on all MKS models is a 275-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine.
Available on AWD MKS models is Ford’s new “EcoBoost” 355-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. Both engines use a 6-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Standard is a capless fuel-filler system, which allows owners to fill their fuel tanks without having to remove a gas cap.
Also standard is Ford’s Sync, which offers voice control for cell phones and MP3 players. Other available features include a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic updates, front-obstacle detection, a rearview camera, keyless entry and starting, and adaptive cruise control. Newly optional on the 2010 Lincoln MKS is a system designed to provide hands-free parallel parking.

Just days after unveiling the Lincoln MKT crossover at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the automaker has officially announced that the vehicle will start at $44,995 for a front-wheel-drive model, including destination charges. A four-wheel-drive model with the automaker’s EcoBoost powertrain runs $49,995.It will go on sale in late summer 2009… Fuel-efficiency also comes standard on the Lincoln MKT – and customers have a choice of two powerful yet practical V-6 engines.
The MKT is fully differentiated from the Flex, the Lincoln MKT strikes the optimum balance between capable and driver-engaging handling, while simultaneously delivering a smooth quiet ride in all three rows,” said Chief Engineer Ron Heiser. “It combines a luxury touring experience with an agile ride and available Class III towing strength, as well.A two-speed fuel pump and Aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-Off (ADFSO), combined with optimized transmission and final drive gearing, are designed to help this engine to deliver segment-leading fuel economy of an estimated 24 mpg highway, besting both the Acura MDX and Audi Q7 by 4 mpg.
