2009 Scion xD

The 2009 Scion xD is largely unchanged following its introduction for the 2008 model year. This subcompact car from Toyota’s Scion division comes with a 128-hp 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine and manual or automatic transmission.

Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, remote keyless entry, tilt steering wheel with audio controls, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat that slides fore/aft to benefit either passenger or cargo room.

Also offered is a Special Edition package, which includes unique trim and a lowered suspension.

2010 Scion xD

The 2010 Scion xD is largely unchanged. This subcompact car from Toyota’s Scion division comes with a 128-horsepower 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine and manual or automatic transmission.

The 2009 Scion xB gets no major changes following its 2008 redesign. This compact car is a front-wheel drive wagon with a one-piece rear liftgate. The only engine is a 158-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that teams with a manual or automatic transmission.

Available safety features includes ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Scions are sold through Toyota dealers. DVD entertainment and a navigation system are among the available features.

There are also a number of factory-approved dress-up accessories sold as dealer-installed options.

2010 Scion xB

The 2010 Scion xB gets a new optional audio system but is otherwise unchanged. This compact car is a front-wheel drive wagon with a one-piece rear liftgate. A 158-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder remains the only engine.

It teams with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. DVD entertainment and a navigation system are among the available features.

A number of factory-approved dress-up accessories are sold as dealer-installed options. The new optional audio system includes a touchscreen and HD Radio.

2009 Scion tC

The 2009 Scion tC lineup loses its Spec Package model. This 2-door hatchback is otherwise unchanged. The tC is a 2-door hatchback coupe sold by Toyota’s youth-oriented division. It has a 160-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual transmission or optional 4-speed automatic.

Available safety features include ABS, a driver knee airbag, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Neither traction control nor an antiskid system are offered. The front-passenger seatback reclines to form a long surface in tandem with a split-folding rear seat. The tC is now offered in a single trim level that comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and a sunroof.

The lower-priced but de-contented Spec Package model has been discontinued. Options include a navigation system, and 18-inch wheels. Many dealer-installed dress-up accessories are also available.

2010 Scion tC

The 2010 Scion tC is largely unchanged. The tC is a 2-door hatchback coupe sold by Toyota’s youth-oriented division. It has a 161-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. Manual or automatic transmission is available. Available safety features include ABS, front-side airbags, curtain-side airbags, and a driver-knee airbag.

Neither traction control nor an antiskid system is offered. The front-passenger seat back reclines to form a long surface in tandem with a split-folding rear seat. Options include a navigation system, sport exhaust system, and 18-inch wheels. Many dealer-installed dress-up accessories are available.

Toyota Financial Services (TFS), in partnership with Toyota Motor Sales, announced qualified College Graduates can receive a $1,000 rebate toward the purchase or lease of select new Toyota vehicles, including the Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Camry (excludes Camry hybrid), Tacoma and Yaris and any new Scion model.
