2009 Lincoln Mark LT

The Mark LT’s elegant, well-appointed interior provides room for five adults in premium-soft leather front captain’s chairs and full, rear seat. Ingress and egress are made easy via four full doors. The old Lincoln Mark LT was the best selling Lincoln in all of Mexico, so it only makes sense that this new version is going to make them go loco all over again. It’s a pretty standard truck, but it’s Lincoln and it is pretty flashy. What do you guys think of it?
Both 4×2 and 4×4 versions of Mark LT are available with a longer, 6.5-foot cargo bed providing an additional 10 cubic-feet of cargo capacity from the standard 5.5-foot cargo bed.
2009 Lincoln MKZ
The 2009 Lincoln MKZ gains an antiskid system as a newly-standard safety feature. This premium midsize sedan has a 263-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission.
Previously unavailable, the 2009 Lincoln MKZ has a standard antiskid system. Other available safety features include ABS, traction control, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Rear obstacle detection and heated and cooled front seats are standard.
Also standard is Ford’s Sync, which offers voice control for cell phones and MP3 players. A navigation system, sunroof, remote engine start, and xenon headlights are among the options offered.
2010 Lincoln MKZ
The 2010 Lincoln MKZ gets freshened exterior and interior styling and some new features. This premium-midsize sedan has a 263-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags.
A new Sport Appearance Package includes a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and specific interior and exterior trim. Ford’s Sync voice-activated control for cell phones and MP3 players is standard. Newly offered on the 2010 Lincoln MKZ is blind-spot alert.
The system also incorporates Ford’s “Cross Traffic Alert”, which activates when the transmission is in reverse; it detects any traffic moving toward the vehicle. A rearview camera is optional, as is a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic alerts and a hard drive for storing digital music files.
2009 Lincoln MKX
The 2009 Lincoln MKX sees no major changes. This crossover SUV seats five and shares its basic design with the Ford Edge. MKX offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The sole powertrain is a 265-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine that teams with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 3500 lb.
Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Heated and cooled front seats and a driver-seat memory system are standard.
Also standard is Ford’s Sync voice-activated control for cell phones and MP3 players. A Limited Edition Package includes specific trim, 20-inch wheels, and upgraded leather upholstery.
2010 Lincoln MKX
The 2010 Lincoln MKX is largely unchanged. This crossover SUV seats 5 and shares its basic design with the Ford Edge. MKX offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The sole powertrain is a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that teams with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds.
Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Heated and cooled front seats and leather upholstery are standard. Also standard is Ford’s Sync voice-activated control interface for cell phones and digital-music players.
A navigation system with real-time traffic information is optional, as are dual-screen DVD entertainment and a panoramic sunroof. Newly available for 2010 is the Midnight Limited Edition Package which includes specific trim and 22-inch wheels.
2011 Lincoln MKX
The 2011 Lincoln MKX gets a major freshening, with updated styling, more power, and new features. This crossover SUV seats 5 and shares its basic design with the Ford Edge. MKX offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The sole powertrain is a new 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine that teams with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This replaces a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds.
Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Blind-spot alert and adaptive cruise control with collision warning are available. Collision warning readies maximum braking force if sensors detect an unavoidable crash. The 2011 Lincoln MKX marks the debut of MyLincoln Touch, which is part of the next generation of Ford’s Sync voice-activated control system. With MyLincoln Touch, most traditional buttons and switches for audio and climate controls are incorporated into a single touchscreen.
Also standard is keyless access/engine start. Among the available features are a heated, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel and a navigation system with real-time traffic information. Another new feature is iTunes Tagging, which works in conjunction with the optional HD-Radio receiver and navigation system. If a driver or passenger is listening to the radio and likes what is playing, he or she can press a “TAG” button on the display.
The song’s information will then be stored in the system’s onboard memory. Upon plugging in an iPod, the tagged song data will be transferred to the device, whereby the owner can preview, purchase, and download those songs from Apple’s iTunes store. Up to 100 tagged songs can be stored in the vehicle. We have not yet tested the 2011 Lincoln MKX.
2009 Lincoln MKS
The 2009 Lincoln MKS is the new flagship sedan from Ford’s luxury division. This premium large car shares some of its basic design with the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable. MKS has a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 275 hp when using premium-grade gas and 273 on regular. Front- or all-wheel drive is offered.
A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Standard is a capless fuel-filler system, which allows owners to fill their fuel tanks without having to remove a gas cap.
Also standard is Ford’s Sync, which offers voice control for cell phones and MP3 players. Other available features include a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic updates, front-obstacle detection, a rearview camera, keyless entry and starting, and adaptive cruise control.
