2011 Dodge Charger

With its iconic character, contemporary fastback four-door coupe proportions, world-class performance, craftsmanship and refinement, and state-of-the-art connectivity features, the all-new 2011 Charger is the Dodge brand’s flagship that proudly delivers premium, world-class E-§egmènt sedan precision at an incredible value. The efficient and aerodynamic exterior of the 2011 Dodge Charger is spiritually inspired by the iconic second-generation Charger from the late 1960s, featuring a design that is sure to strike an emotional chord wîth Dodge performance enthusiasts of all generations.

With its sinister ‘ready to attack the road’ face, the all-new Dodge Charger puts the world’s best E-§egmènt sedan competitors between its new ‘split crosshair’ signature grille. Its sculpted all-new body is a conscious nod to its deep heritage and muscle-car roots. The Charger’s profile is also a modern affair, a result of countless hours in the wind tunnel, from its lower hood line, faster windshield and radically raked back headlights to its tighter wheel openings, lower sill and race-car-like flat underbody, the Charger effortlessly cuts thought the air wîth its attitude intact.

The aluminum hood features dual ‘scallops’ that bring a sculptured, performance look to the front end, while large body-side scallops deliver a striking undulating A-line across the doors. Running front to rear is the iconic horizontal ‘coke bottle’ or ‘double-diamond’ body-side styling that creates a tapering silhouette accented wîth muscular front and rear fenders and gives the Dodge Charger one of the most distinct profiles on the road. Defining the fastback’s wide stance is an all-new signature taillamp design that incorporates 164 illuminating LEDs to form its signature ‘racetrack’ graphic and gives the new Charger its unmistakable character from blocks away.

The 2011 Dodge Charger’s interior cockpit is meant to be an enthusiast office. The all new design feature premium materials throughout. Transmitting the performance chassis’ world-class feel of the road, the all-new Charger features a new thick-rimmed three-spoke Dodge §teering wheel for enhanced performance feel and grip. Crafted in world-class materials, Charger’s passengers are surrounded wîth comfort, craftsmanship and style, thanks to premium soft-touch materials and four available distinct interior color combinations. The all-new 2011 Dodge Charger’s state-of-the-art Úconnect® Touch integrates world-class infotainment and convenience technologies to keep passengers connected, comfortable and secure. From §egmènt-leading Garmin® navigation, to dual-zone climate controls and the ability to check fuel prices wîth the integration of available SIRIÚS Travel Link, Úconnect Touch delivers an excellent experience for Charger’s driver and passengers.

Maximizing its unibody’s world-class structural stiffness, Dodge Charger engineers were able to tune the cabin for sound quality (rather than sound level) by isolating powertrain, road and wind noise. In addition, Charger’s unibody packages material and structural design improvements, including dual-pane acoustic windshield and front-door side glass, body-cavity silencing foam, under-flush roll-framed doors wîth triple seals and acoustic wheel-well liners to absorb road noise and quiet the cabin. Combined, these design improvements place the all-new Dodge Charger’s interior sound quality among the best in the E-§egmènt.

As the Dodge brand’s flagship, the chassis of the all-new 2011 Charger is designed, engineered and fine-tuned to deliver a level of quality, capability and refinement that rivals the very best European, Asian and North American E-§egmènt sedans. With its new second-generation E-§egmènt rear-wheel drive (RWD) architecture, Dodge Charger features world-class suspension-tunings wîth re-designed geometry making for a nimble, balanced chassis that will build the Charger’s legend as one of the best driving sedans in the world.

Engineered to perform against the best E-§egmènt sport sedans, the all-new 2011 Dodge Charger SE and Charger Rallye feature the new 3.6-liter Pentastar engine for world-class levels of power, refinement, technology and fuel efficiency. For maximum thrills, efficiency and best-in-class power, the new Dodge Charger R/T lineup features the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI™ V-8 engine wîth four-cylinder mode FuelSaver Technology.

The all-new 2011 Dodge Charger R/T wîth all-wheel-drive (AWD) features a re-thought stance and 19-inch wheels to make it much more appealing than ever before. The AWD preserves the Charger’s character and deepens its performance envelope in the most treacherous conditions. The Charger AWD features a §egmènt-exclusive active transfer case and front-axle disconnect system to improve fuel economy by up to 5 percent. No other major automotive manufacturer offers the combination of these two independent technologies. Dodge Charger’s innovative AWD system seamlessly transitions between RWD and AWD wîth no driver intervention. When all-wheel drive is not required, the system automatically disconnects the front axle to maximize fuel economy while still providing the outstanding performance and handling inherent in rear-wheel drive vehicles.

The all-new 2011 Dodge Charger features more than 65 safety and security features, including standard Keyless Enter-N-Go and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) wîth §egmènt-exclusive Ready-alert Braking and Rainy Day Brake Support safety features to improve overall vehicle handling and performance both on and off the track. 2009 Dodge Viper

The 2009 Dodge Viper gains some new, track-ready options. This high-performance two-seat sports car comes as a hardtop coupe or as the Roadster convertible with a manual-folding fabric top and heated glass rear window. Both are designated SRT10. Vipers have a 600-hp 8.4-liter V10 engine. A 6-speed manual is the sole transmission. ABS is standard. Side airbags, traction control, and an antiskid system are unavailable. Wheels are 18 inches in front, 19 inches in the back. Standard features include leather-and-faux-suede upholstery, power-adjustable pedals, and xenon headlights. A navigation system that includes satellite radio is also available. New for 2009 Viper coupes is the ACR package, which includes aerodynamic improvements, performance suspension, and other racetrack-ready hardware.

Getting may also be a challenge. Because of the trademark side exhaust, since thresholds can get hot enough to burn your calves, and more drivers will find that the little door opening inhibit entry and exit.

The overall design of the Viper’s interior is a little sad, but it can be livened up a bit with the optional two-tone color schemes and dash panel inserts. The black-on-white-faced gauges are easy to read and well equipped. The large tachometer is mounted centrally in the instrument pod, next to 220-mph speedometer, max. Amid console can accommodate additional gauges, audio system with six-CD changer, climate and a lush red engine start button to fire up the V10.

2009 Dodge Viper SRT-10 is offered as either a two-seat coupe or a soft-top roadster. For the standard price of admission, you get huge forged-aluminum wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires measure 275/35R18 front and 345/30R19 in back. Inside, the Viper comes with race-inspired seats, power-adjustable pedals, full power accessories, a tilting steering wheel, keyless entry and an in-dash six-disc CD changer mated to a seven-speaker, 300-watt audio system. Since the Viper is more show than go, cosmetics and convenience options are scarce. Racing stripes, paint and wheel options, instrument-panel trim, a two-tone interior, navigation and satellite radio are all on offer.

The high performance-enhancing opportunity Viper is American Club Racer (ACR) package, which is only available for the Coupe variant. Although street legal, ACR is clearly intended for track use. The package adds carbon fiber aerodynamic devices, including a massive wing mounted high above the tail, a front splitter, Fender-mounted dive planes and further body treatments. All this Aero work resulting in a claimed 1000 pounds of down force at 150 km / h. Lighter wheels shodě with stickier tires (both slightly wider in front), lighter brake rotors, a stiffer suspension with 14-way adjustable shocks and deleted foglamps round of the ACR package. Ultimately, the ACR weighs in 46 pounds lighter than the standard Coupe.

In the spirit of “you can never go too far,” ACR package can be further strengthened with the hard core of the package. In general, expect an extra performance to cost more, but the hard core option is free – primarily because the package eliminates opportunities that are not trail-essential. Delete Inger includes radio, speakers, amplifier, trunk upholstery, hood pad and tire inflation. Weight savings amount to an additional 42 pounds – not a lot, but every ounces counts on the track.

During the Viper’s Louverne cap is an imposing 8.4-liter V10 engine that thunder out 600 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. It is enough to propel the sleek snake from zero to 60 km / h in 3.7 seconds. Quarter-mile is a memory in a simple 11.8 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 200 mph. All this merriment is funneled to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, which is the only transmission available.

Fuel economy – though obviously a reflection of exotic sports – registers an EPA-rated city / country of 13/22 mpg and 16 mpg in combined driving.

The best security for the 2009 Dodge Viper is not included in the car. It is a driver with great skill, preferably with a racing pedigree. What is included, however, are anti-lock brakes with huge 14-inch rotors that can stop the Viper from 60 km / h on an eye-bulging 104 feet. Thus, absent the side airbags, traction and stability control – and it makes skills in the aforementioned driver even more critical.

2009 Dodge Sprinter

The 2009 Dodge Sprinter loses its gasoline engine, leaving only the turbodiesel 154-hp 3.0-liter V6, which is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Sprinter gets a power-sliding option for its passenger-side sliding door, and available are a 180-degree rear door opening, and roof rails on the cargo van. Roof rails are also available on the passenger van.

Three models are offered: 2500, 2500 cargo extended, and 3500. 2500 is available as a passenger van. 2500 and 3500 are available in standard roof, high roof, or mega roof form, and come in two wheelbases: 144 and 170 inches. The high roof adds 11 inches of interior room and the mega roof adds 19 to the standard roof height of 65 inches. Dual rear wheels are standard on 3500 models. Passenger models have room for up to 12 passengers on rear bench seats with an emergency exit window.

A tire pressure monitoring system is standard on 2500 models. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, an antiskid system, dual front airbags, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Optional equipment includes a heated windshield with rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, front and rear sensing, a driver’s side sliding door on cargo van, and a rear back-up alarm.

Choose either standard or optional “High Line,” shown here. Both feature a two-part LCD with segmented display between analog tachometer and speedometer. The High Line offers multifunction steering wheel, separate fuel gauge pointer, and a pixel matrix display. All-new: the system can “memorize” a number of vehicle settings, including preferred speed, temperature and lights.

Safety is a priority, with standard front air bags,* adjustable head restraints, optional driver and front passenger supplemental side-seat air bags, and optional supplemental side-curtain air bags to further protect front outboard occupants. Optional air bags included with the Security Group Option.
